When you book your vehicle (online or at the counter) we’ll ask you about the level of cover you prefer in case anything happens while you’re in possession of a Redspot.

While we can’t recommend the level of cover that’s right for you, we can explain how the different options work:

• No excess – the completely stress-free option with no liability.
• Middle excess - a slightly lower car rental rate with $495 liability.
• Web specials excess - the cheapest rental rate with $2750 liability.

Optional cover:

• Windscreen, Headlights, Tyres (included in Driveaway rates)
• Snow cover
• Premium roadside cover (included in Driveaway rates)

1. No excess car hire insurance (included in Driveaway rate) Complete cover should you or someone else damage the car. This means you won’t pay a cent (unless for some reason you’ve not complied with our Rental Agreement Ts & Cs). It includes a $0 excess additional driver fees, RRF, PLF, GST, WHT, premium road side assistance cover and unlimited kms.
If you book our ‘Driveaway no more to pay’ rate, you’re covered. Or you can choose no excess on all other rates for a small additional cost.

This option is not available:

• to drivers over 74 and under 25 year olds.
• on IVAR vehicle class (12 seater class).

2. Excess for ‘Middle of the Road’ and ‘More than Monthful’ rates Our Middle of the Road and 30 days or longer rates automatically comes with a $495 excess on ECMR, ECAR, CDAR, SDAR, FCAR class vehicles, and a $990 excess on IFAR, PVAR and IVAR class cars. It includes RRF, PLF, GST and unlimited kms. You can upgrade to no excess for an additional daily fee.

3. Excess for Web Hot Specials These very cheap specials come with a $3300 liability on all class vehicles. It includes RRF, PLF and GST. You can upgrade to no excess for an additional daily fee.

4. Windscreen, Headlights, Tyres and over carriage damage cover. WHT is included in our Driveaway rate and all corporate rates. Other damage will incur elected damage liability. i.e. panel damage - $2750 etc. You can include WHT on other rates for a small fee.

5 Snow Cover This cover allows you to drive above the snow line without voiding the terms and conditions. The hirer will have a $2750 or $3300 liability (depending on chosen class) and it can’t be reduced.

6. Premium Road Side Cover This is the new name for Highway Helpers. It means that if you lock your keys in the car, or leave your lights on, you won’t be financially liable for any call out fees or towing costs.
